The JoanLab DS-900S is a flameless infrared steriliser designed for rapid high-temperature sterilisation of inoculating loops, inoculating needles and other compatible laboratory tools.

The larger 35 mm chamber opening allows the DS-900S to accommodate wider instruments and tube mouths than the smaller DS-900, while the 100 mm heating zone provides concentrated high-temperature treatment.

Two heating settings of approximately 400°C and 850°C are available. Once operating temperature is reached, typical sterilisation takes approximately 5–7 seconds.

Because the DS-900S operates without an open flame, it provides a practical alternative to alcohol lamps and Bunsen burners in microbiology, mycology, clean bench and other laboratory environments.
