The JoanLab DS-900 is a compact flameless infrared steriliser designed for rapid high-temperature sterilisation of inoculating loops, inoculating needles and other compatible small laboratory tools.

The ceramic heating chamber provides two temperature settings of approximately 400°C and 850°C, with a maximum central temperature of 825°C ±50°C.

Once heated, sterilisation typically takes approximately 5–7 seconds. Because no open flame is required, the DS-900 provides a practical alternative to alcohol lamps and Bunsen burners for microbiology, mycology and other laboratory environments.

The 14 mm diameter opening and 150 mm heating zone are particularly suited to inoculating loops and other narrow laboratory instruments. JoanLab specifies a warm-up time of approximately 10 minutes.
